Your Vessel is not Faster than a Speeding Bullet

With less money than you spend on the excess fuel it takes to travel the 3000-4000 miles at top speed through the HRA to avoid pirates, you could invest in having four, first class armed guards on your boat.   This 4 man team, would ensure that your crew, cargo and vessel will be safe AND you won’t be causing excess damage to your ship’s engine.

A determined team of Pirates can stop any vessel at any speed: remember that bullets travel at the speed of sound.  A normal, economical cruising speed is generally 70% of engines power.  Think about how much it would cost to cruise at full speed night and day.  If each voyage is 3000 to 4000  miles, the extra fuel costs may cost anywhere between $80 000 to $120 000 depending on the size of your vessel.  A team of four, combat trained security personnel will cost you less than $50 000

It is common for litigation in the United Kingdom to take place with the Insurance companies protecting their policies and investigating the due diligence of ship owners to protect their vessels and the cargo they are carrying.  Speeding through the HRA at full speed is costly, both in fuel and  excess engine damage and does not show due diligence in protecting your vessel, crew, and cargo that you are entrusted with!!!
