The weapons used by the company’s security guards during the naval security missions are held under license and registered by law. The company utilizes a wide range of weapons which includes:

• 5.56 & 7.62 sniper weapons
• Assault rifles,
• Machine guns
• Day and night optical equipment
• Ceramic shields & helmets.

The type of weapon and ammunition is selected according to the mission, the region, type of vessel, etc.

In addition to firearms, the teams also use night vision equipment, pyrotechnic equipment and non-lethal weapons.

APD’s security teams will only use lethal force if necessary.
